KUCHING: Carlsberg Malaysia celebrates the pride of Sarawak’s heritage, traditions and natural wonders in conjunction with the exuberant Gawai Festival.

Carlsberg Smooth Draught stepped up its game with a three-day Gawai event to celebrate the launch of its ‘Raikan Kebanggaan Sabah & Sarawak’ promotion, which is only available in Borneo.

They also released six limited-edition cans in recognition of Sabah and Sarawak, inviting consumers to immerse themselves in the natives’ customs by glorifying traditional arts and culture and enjoying the Harvest Festival’s richness.

“It’s been two years since everyone had a fantastic night out with their family and friends.

“We are ecstatic to be able to give Sarawakians a pre-Gawai showcase as we usher in the year’s largest celebration.

“Over the previous five years, Carlsberg Smooth Draught has developed tremendously in Sabah and Sarawak thanks to the love and support of our customers.

“This has motivated us to promote the beautiful history of Sabah and Sarawak with bigger and better consumer promotions to reward beer lovers here with even more unforgettable drinking experiences,” said Carlsberg Malaysia Marketing director Caroline Moreau.

Carlsberg Smooth Draught launched six artistically designed limited-edition cans and bottles in April to celebrate Borneo’s pride.

The ‘Raikan Kebanggaan Sabah & Sarawak’ packaging is claimed to be a masterpiece of contemporary art and beer, with six unique icons in vibrant colours.

The orangutan, majestic mountains and Rafflesia of Sabah as well as the longhouse, Hornbill and sape of Sarawak, are among the icons shown on the cans.
