KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail yesterday morning visited SK Pendidikan Khas and SMK Kota Samarahan here.
His Royal Highness was on the third day of his state visit in conjunction with the Ziarah Kasih Programme.
At SK Pendidikan Khas, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin presented books as a contribution to the school.
Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) and Perlis Islamic Council also contributed books and donated RM1,000 to the school. The gifts were received by the school’s headmaster Amir Mahmud Piang.
At SMK Kota Samarahan, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also donated books and cash aid to 20 poor students. The gifts were received by the school’s principal Bujang Awang Jamain.
Also present were Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang, DBP director-general Datuk Abang Sallehuddin Abg Shokeran, Education Ministry secretary-general Datuk Kamel Mohamad, State Education Department director Dr Azhar Ahmad, DBP director (Literature and Language Department) Hazami Jahari, Samarahan Division Resident Brahim Lumpu, and Perlis Mufti Datuk Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin.
