KUCHING: Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandaria Al-Marhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj arrived at Kuching International Airport (KIA) for a four-day visit to Kuching.
Her Majesty’s plane landed at 1.26pm this afternoon (Dec 4) and was welcomed by the Sarawak Premier’s wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang.
During her stay in Kuching, she visited the Puncak Borneo Prison Complex this evening, which is the prison’s Songket Workshop.
At night, Her Majesty attended the Food Over Fire Festival & Theatre in Fort Margherita.
The next day, she is scheduled to go to Damai Golf & Country Club in Santubong, while in the afternoon she will visit Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abang Ahmad Urai’s Heritage House in Jalan Muda Hashim.
Her visit there is for the launching of the Dri Datuk Amar Abang Ahmad Urai’s Heritage House Kampung Heritage Trail.
The Raja Permaisuri Agong will then return to the capital city on Thursday, December 8.
Also present to welcome the arrival of Her Majesty was the deputy minister in the Premier’s Department Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali. – JaPen
