MIRI: State Transport Minister and Senadin assemblyman Datuk Lee Kim Shin presented food baskets and RM350 cash aid to 45 lower income families of SK Senadin students here.
These families received the gifts when celebrating Hari Raya festive season at a programme organised by the school’s Islamic Studies Committee and its Muslim teachers and staff members today.
The ‘Sumbang Kasih Ramadan’ programme which was held in cooperation with the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), Everwin Supermarket, Masjid Abu Bakar As-Siddiq and Pertubuhan Amal Kebajikan Kasih took place at Everwin Supermarket in Senadin and was targeted towards the asnaf and the orphans.
“It is hoped that these contributions will help to ease the burden, give joy and hope to the less fortunate students and families and help to foster good rapport between the school, parents and the community,” said Lee.
Also present during the event was SK Senadin headmaster Ahmad Othman.
