KUCHING: The Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) has decided not to proceed with the organisation of the 2021 Ramadan Bazaars in Satok, Semarak and Sukma Ria areas after taking the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in Sarawak into account.
In a press release today, its director, Dr Morshidi Ahmad said that the action was taken because the risk of close contact is high and will affect the likelihood of re-transmission of Covid-19 hampering the government’s efforts to eradicate the disease.
He also reminded that it is a shared responsibility to help the government curb the spread of Covid-19 by complying with the current standard operating procedures (SOPs) and directives of the conditional movement and control Order (CMCO) in force.
