SIBU: RTM Sibu received a pat on the back for tirelessly organising the Jelajah Ramadan RTM Sibu 2022 in collaboration with the Sibu Melanau Association, held at the latter’s premises on Sunday evening.
Igan MP, Ahmad Johnie Zawawi, said such programmes would help foster closer rapport between RTM Sibu and the community at large.
“Besides that, such programmes also enliven the Ramadan month with various community activities such as gotong-royong, distribution of bubur lambuk as well as donation to single mothers and frontliners,” he said during the event.
RTM Sibu Station Manager Valentino Mujan was also present.
In relation to that, Ahmad Johnie hoped that Jelajah Ramadan RTM Sibu will be held in collaboration with other associations or Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) apart from the Sibu Melanau Association.
Meanwhile, he also called on all the members of Sibu Melanau Association to give their fullest support to their new chairman Abdul Karim Keparawi.
“Full support to Abdul Karim from everyone in the association will help to make sure that the Sibu Melanau Association will scale greater heights and implement activities smoothly as planned,” he added.
Ahmad Johnie who has been appointed patron of the association said to all its members the association is important as it helps look after their welfare.
