DEBAK, Betong: Locals here can now utilise newer and better facilities with the completion of the Debak Community Development Centre on August 28.
According to Saribas assemblyman Mohd Razi Sitam, the RM550,000 rural transformation programme (RTP) project is among the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government projects that have changed the landscape of Debak town a lot in recent years.
“As long as GPS rules, the people under my constituency do not have to worry about development because Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg is a leader who listens to the voices of his people and keeps his promises.
“As an elected representative, I will also always strive to give the best for the community in Saribas.
“InsyaAllah, Debak will have a new small district office building after our application is approved by the GPS government,” he said at the handing over of minor rural project (MRP) grants to village security and development committees (JKKKs) here, on Monday (Sept 13).
At the ceremony, Razi also handed over the MRP allocations of RM200,000 to JKKKs under his constituency.
On another note, he reminded all community leaders in Saribas to remain committed in maintaining the safety of their respective areas.
“Make sure all villagers adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb Covid-19 infections.
“And always give full cooperation to the police or People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel assisting in enforcing the enhanced movement control order in villages and longhouses,” he said.
