SIBU: The Ninth Infrantry Brigade (9th Brigade) on Thursday held a book contribution ceremony to RASCOM Camp Library at Dewan RASCOM in RASCOM Camp in Sibu.
Officiating at the event was 9th Brigade Commander Brigadier General Dato’ Dzulkafli b. Hj Mustaffa. A total of 151 books were handed over to the library, courtesy of army officers and personnel of 9th Brigade.
Such a move was to provide opportuinities for the army children to have access to such books comprising academic references and novels. During the opening event a number of interesting presentations by army children comprising five and six-year kids from 9th Brigade Kindergarten and a gimmick of official opening were held. Also held was children colouring contest.
Also present at the event were Bakat chairperson of 9th Brigade Datin Norziati binti Haji Othman, Deputy Commander of Regiment 510 (Territorial Army), Lt Col Zakaria bin Abdul Rahman, commanding officers under 9th Brigade, SK Batu 10 headmaster and teachers, pupils as well as staff and children of Tadika Kemas of RASCOM Camp.
