MIRI: A juvenile ratsnake was found inside a storage room of a house in Kampung Senadin Jaya, here yesterday morning.
The discovery was made that morning by a 37 year-old housewife while preparing to clean the room.
She found it hiding behind a wooden cabinet inside the room.
She subsequently slowly backed away from the room after noticing the presence of the reptile and shut the door.
She then called up Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.
According to Miri APM officer in-charge Captain (PA) Usman Harto , six of his men were despatched to the scene in response to the alert at 10.19am.
“It took them less than 10 minutes to secure the room, and the reptile was released back to the wild,” he said.
