KUCHING: The Raw Kitchen Company (Raw Kitchen) has expanded its presence to the heart of Kuching City with the opening of its new branch at The Ranee Boutique Suites.

As Kuching is renowned as the City of Gastronomy, Raw Kitchen is eager to honour this distinction by playing its part.

Raw Kitchen is offering a diverse array of plant-powered juices, smoothies, coffees, pastries, and dishes to customers at the Kuching Waterfront area.

Co-founder Ghaniy Kiew said the opening of Raw Kitchen’s new outlet stems from the collaboration and positive relationship with The Ranee Boutique Suites.

“We have been operating at The Ranee Boutique Suites since September last year. The hotel attracts many foreign tourists from various parts of the world, some of whom follow a vegan diet.

“This is where we step in with our organic and plant-powered products,” he told the New Sarawak Tribune.

Ghaniy pointed out that Raw Kitchen has always aspired to have a standalone outlet and to adopt and practice a more environmentally friendly business.

“This outlet is providing us with opportunities to further enhance our efforts, especially in terms of zero food waste management,” he said.

At the same time, co-founder Ilnara Mukatayeva revealed that the outlet has received excellent responses from both local and foreign tourists.

She said they have been receiving excellent responses from tourists who have tried and provided positive comments on their juices and smoothies.

Meanwhile, most of the locals were surprised to find Raw Kitchen’s presence in the Kuching Waterfront area as the new outlet is nestled among souvenir shops.

“We have numerous tourists stopping by to enjoy our juices and smoothies. Our passion has always been to encourage people to try vegan food, so this outlet caters not only to local and foreign tourists but also to the local community,” she added.

Ilnara said Raw Kitchen has introduced a distinct menu and concept for the new outlet, tailored to the preferences of tourists eager to savour the flavours of Sarawak.

The menu and concept take into account what tourists seek to experience during their time exploring and staying in Kuching.

“We have added a new item to our menu for this outlet called ‘Honeymoon in Kuching,’ which has become one of our best sellers. This smoothie is crafted from local pineapple, papaya, banana, and dragon fruit.

“We conceived this blend to reflect the taste of Kuching, especially with the use of organic ingredients locally sourced,” she said.

Raw Kitchen at The Ranee Boutique Suites operates from 9am to 7pm on weekdays and from 8am to 7pm on the weekends.
