KUCHING: It’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri today.

Semariang State Assemblywoman, Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali hopes that this Aidilfitri brings love and joy to everyone.

Hasidah, who is also the Assistant Minister of Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring, said that safety should be the priority during the festivities.

“I pray that all Sarawakians will be in the pink of health not only during Raya but all the time.”

Meanwhile, Assistant Minister of Education and Technological Research and Nangka State Assemblyman, Dr. Annuar Rapaee, wishes all the people in his constituency will have a good time while strengthening unity among races.

“Let us take the opportunity to keep the tradition of open house. It is unique to our country, especially when people of different religions and races celebrate festivals together,” said Annuar.

Meanwhile Dr. Abdul Rahman Junaidi, who is the Assistant Minister of Rural Electricity and Pantai Damai State Assemblyman, hopes Sarawakians will take the opportunity to strengthen bonds with their family members and friends during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“The state is filled with people of various religions and cultures. Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the time to get together and sharing our differences in this very fortunate state is our blessing.”

“Members of the public are in invited to come over to my open house during the second and third days of Raya from 10.00am to 12.30pm and then from 2.00pm and 4.00pm at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP),” said Rahman.

On the fourth day of Raya, Tupong state assemblyman, Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman will also be holding an open house at the same venue as Rahman’s from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Members of the public are also invited.

“Hari Raya Aidilfitri symbolises the victory of Muslims after fasting for a month during Ramadan.

“Visiting is part of the celebration. Whether friends or families, take some time to visit them to celebrate and cherish our time with the ones who are still present with us today,” added Fazzrudin.
