BINTULU: The recipients of the Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants in the Jepak constituency here are grateful to the state government for the assistance allocated to them.
Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Talib Zulpilip had presented an MRP grant of RM227,500 to 31 recipients representing clubs, associations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) at the Jepak constituency community service centre today.
Banyang Dato (Jepak Area Village Chiefs Association chairman)
This assistance is very meaningful to carry out the agenda of this association. The fund will be used for development and holding various activities and programmes. The grant is a catalyst in an effort to uphold the spirit of nationalism.
Muhamad Rizal Julaihi (Bintulu Visual Art Club chairman)
Thank you to the state government for the MRP grant. The fund will be used to realise the intention of establishing a mini gallery to gather and display the work of local photographers.
Anthony Alexius Peter (Kuntau Sinding Ujan Panas 48 Sarawak secretary)
The fund will be used for the development of Kuntau martial arts. This will include the purchase of much-needed training equipment to be used for training sessions.
Shearack Sebli (Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association Bintulu branch representative)
We want to thank Talib for his concern for the veterans. With the grant, we can use it to carry out activities. We also want to say that we stand firmly behind the Sarawak government and are ready to provide assistance and support if needed.
