KUCHING: The wife of the Head of State, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, leads the list of 1,046 recipients of Sarawak state honours in conjunction with the celebration of the 78th birthday of Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
She is one of the two individuals to be conferred the Datuk Patinggi Bintang Kenyalang (D.P.) award, which bestows the title ‘Datuk Patinggi’.
Also receiving the same award is Tun Jugah Foundation chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Leonard Linggi Jugah. Meanwhile, four individuals will receive the Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak (P.N.B.S) award, carrying the title ‘Dato Sri’.
They include the Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak, Tan Sri Dato’ Abdul Rahman Sebli; former Senator Temenggong Datuk Wan Hamid Edruce Tuanku Mohammad; State Attorney-General Datu Saferi Ali; and Sarawak Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Datu Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel.
Three individuals will be conferred the Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang (P.G.B.K) award, carrying the title ‘Datuk’.
They are the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Sustainability, who is also the Sarikei MP, Dato’ Sri Huang Tiong Sii; Senior Private Secretary to the Premier, Dato Khir Busrah; and RECODA chief executive officer, Datu Ismawi Ismuni.
In addition, 12 individuals will be awarded the Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak (D.J.B.S), which includes the title ‘Datu’.
Among the recipients are Elizabeth Loh, Abang Ahmad Abang Morni, Sirai Daha, Jafri Lias, Hamdan Sharbini, Jonathan Lugoh, Jack Liam, Kueh Lei Poh, Michael Ronnie Langgong, Nyurak Keti, Mersal Abang Rosli, and Professor Dr. Nelson Lian Mersat.
Moreover, 18 individuals will receive the Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (P.S.B.S) award, which confers the title ‘Dato’.
They are Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, Hilmy Othman, Ambrose Cheng Loi Hee, Mohd Chee Kadir, Abang Abdillah Izzarim, Brigadier General Kamarulzaman Mohd Yunos, Datin Amar Enn Ong Siok Ean, Dr Wee Kam Siak @ Julian Wee Kam Siak, Dr Richard Rapu @ Aman Begri, Jefri Ahmad Tambi, Shankar Ram Pohumall, Abang Arabi Abang Narudin, Sudarnoto Osman, Dato’ Seri Khaw Kok Chin, Archbishop Dr Simon Peter Poh Hoon Seng, Jacqueline Fong Yean Yee, Dato’ Lee Heng Cheong, and Su’ut Johari.
Meanwhile, three individuals will be awarded the Johan Bintang Sarawak (J.BS.), and one will get the Johan Bintang Kenyalang (J.B.K).
Twenty individuals will receive the Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (P.P.C); 15 individuals the Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (P.B.S); 98 individuals the Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K); 143 individuals the Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B); 76 individuals the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S); 198 individuals the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K); 194 individuals the Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T); and 259 individuals the Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S).
The investiture ceremony for state honours is scheduled for this morning at the Astana Negeri Sarawak.
