The 2017 Limkokwing International Cultural Festival presented cultural exhibitions from various countries and attended by 15,000 people.

CYBERJAYA: Culture is a powerful influence on an individual journey to create their marks in the world. In Limkokwing University, students from more than 165 countries strengthen their bonds and widen their knowledge through global education to benefit the entire world.

As Malaysia’s most globalised university with campuses in 14 countries, Limkokwing University is officially Asia’s most international University that provided its graduates with two employments advantages.

Students of Limkokwing University are provided with the opportunities to create global friendships and obtain international experiences through Limkokwing University’s Global Campus program.

In addition, Limkokwing University’s education approach equipped each graduate with knowledge and skills to excel in their chosen fields, allowing them to increase their mobility, and heighten their competitiveness as they are heading to global job markets.

Graduates of Limkokwing University are empowered with necessary skills required by 65 per cent of employers for high income careers.

As a proof of its leading creative education approach, Limkokwing University is the only Malaysian institution invited to be a part of the United Nations’ Academic Impact program that highlights a commitment to provide educational opportunity for all people regardless of gender, race, religion, or ethnicity, a commitment to encourage global citizenship through education, and sustainability.

Moreover, Limkokwing University’s Founder and President, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing, is recognised as Malaysia’s Goodwill Ambassador by the United Nation and is the only international peace ambassador to Malaysia.

Since its inception in 2013, the Limkokwing International Cultural Festival has been attended by more than 26,000 guests and recognised by The Malaysia Book of Records for organising the Most Number of Countries Delegates Participating in a Cultural Festival in 2016 with 93 countries.

Featuring “The World in One Place” as its main theme, the 2017 Limkokwing International Cultural Festival was bigger than before by showcasing variations of cultural exhibitions from more than 100 countries through country booths and performances competitions.

Students poured their creativeness in presenting the skills they obtained on campus through architectural design, communication, branding, ICT, and fashion design. All of this creativity can be seen during the one-day festival making it truly one of the biggest cultural events in the world by a university.

They are indeed worthy young global citizens.” said Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Limkokwing, Founder & President, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology.

Held in Limkokwing University’s Cyberjaya Campus, the event was graced by Sultanah Pahang Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom DK; Sikhanyiso Dlamini, Principal Princess from the Kingdom of Swaziland; and Datuk Mas Ermieyati Binti Samsudin, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture.

During the event, Limkokwing University was also bestowed by a new record from the Malaysia Book of Record for the “Most Number of Countries Delegates Participating in A Cultural Festival” with 100 countries.

The award was given to Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim, Limkokwing University’s Vice President, Brand, Creativity, and Talent Development, witnessed by the Sultanah of Pahang, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Limkokwing, and Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture.

This year, the festival featured performances and appearances by local as well as international entertainment industries artists, such as Joe Flizzow, SonaOne, Emir Hermono, and Raline Shah.

Meanwhile, industry partners such as Uber, AXN, Twentieth Century Fox Film, Daikin, The Twee, Wolo Hotel, Empire Hotel Subang, and Pioneer provided supports to the event.
