KUCHING: The Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) will provide funding for the upgrading of recreational parks at Jalan Semaba and Olive Garden at 7th Mile.
Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap said these recreational parks will undergo improvements to enhance the facilities and benefit the residents.
“The sum of RM200,000 has been approved for Taman Rekreasi Olive Garden, 7th Mile, while RM100,000 will be allocated for Semaba Park and RM50,000 for Lorong 2, Jalan Semaba. These funds will be utilised by the Padawan Municipal Council (PMC) to carry out the necessary upgrading works,” said Yap in a press release today.
Yap, upon receiving notification of the approval, had requested site visits with the PMC officers to discuss the specific upgrade requests made by concerned residents.
“It is crucial for them to expedite the design and upgrading works for the parks scheduled for improvement. This will ensure that the benefits of the upgrades are delivered on schedule,” he said.
Yap also shared his plans to secure funding for the upgrading of additional recreation parks, providing a conducive environment for residents to gather and engage in active recreational activities.
