KUCHING: Fraser & Neave Holdings Berhad (F&NHB) is organising the second leg of the F&N ‘Recycle For A Life Cycle Day’ in conjunction with F&N Recycle Campaign 2020, here and in Kota Samarahan.
The one-day event is organised in collaboration with Kuching North City Hall (DBKU), Kuching South City Council (MBKS), Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) and Padawan Municipal Council (MPP).
Supporting the event are Tetra Pak (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Local Government and Housing Ministry and Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB), F&N said in a media statement issued yesterday.
After a successful turnout in the first round of the event in Seberang Perai, Penang recently, the F&N ‘Recycle For A Life Cycle Day’ is set to excite primary and secondary school students across Kuching and Kota Samarahan on the benefits of practising the 5R philosophy of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink and Reinvent through fun and exciting activities throughout the day.
The main highlight of the event is the campaign’s first ever poster design competition to inspire students to harness their creativity to create ingenious posters with recyclable items.
DBKU commissioner Datuk Junaidi Reduan will launch the event at the old State Legislative Assembly Building here today.
