LAWAS: Sarawakians at various levels need to register for Covid-19 vaccination through the MySejahtera app so that the vaccine can be distributed as soon as possible.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the vaccination programme was very important to break the Covid-19 chain in the state.
“The sooner the immunisation programme be implemented to achieve the herd immunity, the sooner the economic activities and development projects could be carried out smoothly,” he said.
He said this when speaking at the presentation of ‘Enjin Sangkut’ (outboard engine) ceremony organised by Giat Mara Sundar under the Ministry of Rural Development Malaysia held at Kuala Lawas Jetty, Kampung Noor Islam last Sunday (March 28).
Also present were the federal Rural Development Minister Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Ahmad; Rural Development Deputy Minister Datuk Henry Sum Agong; Agriculture Native Land and Regional Development Assistant Minister Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail and Limbang Division Resident Ahmad Denny.
