SIBU: Police are actively seeking the family members or next-of-kin of a man who was pronounced dead in the emergency ward at Sibu Hospital on July 27.
Sibu Police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said that the deceased, identified as Sudin Mahoi, was estimated to be between 50 and 60 years old and had a snake tattoo on his left arm.
“Initial investigations by the police revealed that the deceased worked as a construction labourer.
“At the time of the incident, the deceased’s coworker stated that he had collapsed at the worksite and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, where he was later pronounced dead,” he said in a statement today (August 2).
Zulkipli said that the case has been classified as a sudden death (SDR).
He urged anyone with information about the deceased’s family or next-of-kin to contact the police to help locate his relatives.
