KUCHING: The remains of a body found in an empty bangalow of the Agriculture Department at Jalan Dusun, off Ong Thian Swee, has yet to be identified by his family, said SAC Denis Leong yesterday.
When contacted, Leong said a post-mortem will be conducted today (Wednesday) to determine the cause of death. Leong is still tight lipped about what the motive is behind the murder and said it will be solved soon. Four suspects have been arrested and detained for questioning.
Meanwhile, sources said the remains were probably that of a missing man nicknamed Ah Kok whose real name is Tang Tung Kuok, in his 30s who is married. His wife is currently pregnant, said a source.
Friends believed that Ah Kok was involved in some illegal business and it could be a case of revenge.
Residents in Jalan Dusun saw a car parked in front of a bungalow and saw the remains of the deceased at about 10 am. Police were called to the scene and the remains were taken to the Sarawak General Hospital morgue at 2 pm .
An employee of Ah Kok lodged a police report on January 12 that his boss was seen on CCTV being bundled into his Harrier by five men outside their shop at Jalan Datuk Tawi Sli at about 10.40pm. The employee said he did not recognise any of the five men. That was the last time Ah Kok was seen alive.
