TEBEDU: Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada has allocated a total of RM665,000 in funds to Kampung Tema Mawang for the construction and upgrading of infrastructure in the village.

He disclosed this at a leader-with-the-people programme in conjunction with the launching of the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) and Minor Rural Project (MRP) at the village here recently.

He said the allocation includes the construction of a new Kampung Tema Mawang hall and the implementation of projects to repair the Kampung Tema Mawang hanging bridge, each amounting to RM200,000 as well as the construction of the agricultural roads totalling RM100,000.

Another project includes the upgrading of the old hall comprising the installation of solar lights and village entrance roads totalling RM150,000.

Additionally, Kampung Tema Mawang Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) also received RM10,000, while the Women’s Bureau received RM5,000 to carry out their annual programmes and activities for next year.

At the same event, three village chiefs and three secretaries of JKKK from Kampung Tema Saan, Kampung Tema Mawang and Kampung Kujang Plaman received extended appointment letters.

Dr Sinang also urged the community to continue working together to ensure that the development plans of the Sarawak government could be fully utilised by every segment of society.
