KUCHING: Three bed-ridden senior citizens and a patient in his 20s each received a surprise gift from their elected representative Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii at their respective homes in Sarikei yesterday.
The surprise gift was in a form of a medical bed donated by the Repok assemblyman.
The recipients are Ling Ngu Hueh, 88, from Jalan Keli; Chan Ming Yian, 77, from Jalan Tai Ping; Pandak Gawan, 72, from Rumah Nyuka; and Ling Lee Kiong, 20, from Jalan Tung Yee 2.
Ngu Hueh has been bed-ridden for 19 years after he suffered a stroke while Lee Kiong was involved in a road accident.
Huang, accompanied by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) Repok members, made a personal visit to hand over the medical beds.
