SARATOK: Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri praised the voluntary services and commitment of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in supporting charity and welfare activities in Saratok.

According to him, the Ji Yuan Shan She Saratok Moral Education and Charity Association is one of the active organization, among many others.

“The Ji Yuan Shan She Saratok Moral Education and Charity Association, chaired by Pemanca Lim Guan Ann, is active in charitable and community activities.

“Recently, they delivered 20 food baskets to the Kalaka ADUN Service Centre as part of a collaboration program to be distributed to the less fortunate in Kampung Kupang Hilir,” he told reporters yesterday.

He added that this was a good example for other NGOs, hence grassroot leaders should be grateful as these NGOs were ready to help those in need.

The contribution, handed over by Lim, was received by the Secretary of the Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kalaka branch, Gapor Ahmad, who represented Mohamad.
