PADAWAN: The Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and the Women’s Bureau of Kampung Sibatuh Bunuk here have received an allocation of RM20,000 in funding through the Minor Rural Project (MRP).

Deputy Minister for Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil handed over the grant during the Family Day and the official launch of the village’s Women’s Bureau on Sunday.

During the event, he emphasised the importance of the Women’s Bureau in strengthening village administration and supporting women’s development and the family institution.

He urged the newly established Women’s Bureau to emulate the example set by three other Women’s Bureaus within the Mambong constituency, which have actively engaged in food product sales initiatives.

Also present were Padawan Sub-District Administrative Officer Julius Scott Sapong, Bidayuh Pemanca for Kuching District Raymond Jihap and local community leaders.
