KUCHING: Bandar Kuching MP, Dr. Kelvin Yii, has donated 600 chairs to SMK St Teresa.
Dr. Yii said that his decision to make the contribution followed a briefing with the school’s principal and representatives from the Parent-Teachers Association (PTA).
The need for additional seating, particularly in the hall of the school’s new block, was highlighted during this briefing.
“As a result, my office has allocated the necessary funds to procure these chairs, ensuring that students can now comfortably participate in assemblies and meetings,” he said in a statement today.
Having a history of close collaboration with the school, Dr. Yii has previously donated over RM150,000 to assist in purchasing new furniture and enhancing teaching facilities for the school’s new building.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing this partnership with the school community to foster a nurturing environment for students, teachers, and school staff.
