SARIKEI: A total of 33 schools here received donations in the form of face masks, hand sanitisers and thermometers from Repok assemblyman Datuk Sri Huang Tiong Sii yesterday.

The donation was presented by Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Sarikei Branch Youth and Women Section on behalf of Huang.

Huang hoped that everyone would comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs), in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

“It is a social responsibility that must be adhered to by all walks of life and society.

With the cooperation of the public, we can prevent the spread of the virus,” he said in a statement.

A total of 293 boxes of face masks, 293 bottles of hand sanitiser and 47 sets of thermometers were distributed to the schools.

A representative of the schools expressed gratitude to Huang for the health aid.
