KUCHING: The Kampung Sebobok Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) has secured a total allocation of RM350,000 through the rural transformation project (RTP).

Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep said the allocation was approved for the year 2024, where out of the total, a sum of RM150,000 would be used for the construction of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sebobok’s futsal court.

“RM100,000 will be used for the construction of a hall and carrying out filling works near the hall to build a carpark.

“Additionally, the remaining RM100,000 will facilitate the construction of a road to Ribuan,” he said.

He said this when speaking at the SK Sebobok Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) with the Leader programme in Bau recently.

In a related development, a minor rural project (MRP) of RM33,000 has been approved for SK Sebobok’s PTA.

Of the amount, he said RM23,000 will be used to install ceilings in classrooms spanning Year 1 to Year 6, while RM7,000 will be channelled towards the replacement of damaged lights and fans.

Earlier, Henry conducted a work visit to the school to look at and identify areas and facilities that require improvement to create a more conducive and comfortable environment for both students and educators.

As part of his commitment, he generously donated six air conditioning units to the headmaster’s room, the teacher’s room, and the school office.
