KUCHING: Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang handed out Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants totalling RM4,500 on Wednesday (Sept 15).
The recipients were the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Burung Lilin and Surau Bakti Nur Islam.
The grants were handed over by Lo to village head Poniman Dahlan at the Surau Bakti Nur Islam compound.
Poniman said the funds would be used to develop the village.
Meanwhile, Lo hoped that the recipients would put the MRP funds to good use and assist the community under their care.
