MERADONG: The handover of the fully completed RM80,000 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project to upgrade the yard in two longhouses was officiated by Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing here today.
The upgrading project involving Maja longhouse and Ujang longhouse was under the supervision of the Public Works Department (PWD) of Sarikei Division.
“I am very satisfied with the results of this encouraging work as well as the contractor’s ability to successfully complete the project from the set date,” he said.
Later he had the opportunity to review the implementation of another RTP project in his constituency, which was a project to upgrade the parking lot and tar the main road at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Rentap.
The cost of the project amounted to RM100,000.
Also present were headmaster of SK Rentap Nor Hayati Abdul Rani and PWD Sarikei Division assistant engineer Siti Anastasya Saili.
