KUCHING: Meradong assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing is delighted with the state’s vaccination programme, which has moved on to teens aged 16-17 recently.
“It can be seen that we are highly united in our efforts to combat the Covid 19 virus as we have already vaccinated over 80 percent of our population,” he said on WhatsApp on Sunday (Sept 12).
On parents’ responses to the programme, Ding said most parents allowed their children to be inoculated.
“I am really grateful to them for having complete trust in the government to carry out the vaccination campaign, which they believe is the best and safest way to allow their children to return to school.
“I also hope adults and children aged 16-17 who have not yet been vaccinated will come forward as soon as possible to get the jabs.
“As the government considers moving from a pandemic to an endemic stage, widespread immunisation will ensure a seamless and successful transition,” he said.
