MUKAH: Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi was elected as chairman of the Sarawak National Youth Organisation (Saberkas) Balingian branch for the 2020 – 2023 term during the triennial general meeting of the branch at Kingwood Hotel here.
Elected as vice-chairman 1 and vice-chairman 2 were Munir Din and Hafizzul Abdul Halim respectively.
Muhamad Termizi Karnain was elected as the secretary while elected as assistant secretary 1 and assistant secretary 2 were Tuai Rumah Boney Kinsun and Azizi Anyut respectively.
The treasurer post went to Ardyman Matan @ Henry while elected as the committee members were Norjan Liau, Abdul Zaid Jahui, Nur Afidah Akim, Shabri Mohd Kadir, Fadzillah Zaffarin and Dr Normy Kunyo.
Abdul Yakub urged all the committee members to work closely together to ensure that Saberkas Balingian would continue to be active.
The branch expects to carry out all the activities it had planned after the recovery movement control order (RMCO).
Currently, all activities are carried out according to the existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
