BINTANGOR: A total of 47 lots of Temporary Occupation Licenses (TOLs) were handed over to residents in two villages here, namely Kampung Selemas Bintangor Phase 1 and Kampung Tanjung Bundong Bintangor.

Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing said that the handover of the TOL lots was to allow the progress of Village Expansion Scheme (SPK) and the Resettlement Scheme (SPS) that would be carried out in the villages.

“This SPK provides a total of 176 residential lots in the two villages and the government has approved 148 lots with allocations while the rest have been approved but still waiting for allocations.

“I also congratulate the 36 recipients in Kampung Selemas Bintangor and 11 recipients from Kampung Tanjung Bundong Bintangor for their TOL,” he said during the TOL handover ceremony of Kampung Selemas Bintangor Phase I & Kampung Tanjung Bundong Bintangor, recently.

He added that the government has also prepared a new initiative which is a 50 per cent reduction in the premium rate for residential lots in all SPS and SPK not exceeding RM2,500 per slot.

“This initiative was implemented to ease the burden of low-income people involved in the schemes in order to complete premium payments,” he said.

He also hoped that the villagers who received these lots would construct their own dream houses to fulfill the original purpose of preparing the SPS and SPK schemes.
