KUCHING: Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi recently visited a needy senior citizen at Bintawa Hilir here on Monday (Sept 20).
The Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) said the Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU) contributed a wheelchair to Rapiah Japar who has been suffering from stroke for the past three years.
He hoped that the contribution will facilitate and ease Rapiah’s movement, especially during checkups at the clinic.
On a separate occasion, Dr Abdul Rahman, who is also Pantai Damai assemblyman, visited the project site for the new Kampung Bintawa mother and child health clinic (Klinik Kesihatan Ibu dan Kanak-Kanak).
He stated that the first scope of the project, through the Rural Transformation Project, has been successfully implemented and it is now proceeding to its second scope involving additions to the public toilet, carpark, fence and safety fence.
The Assistant Minister of Utilities (Water Supply) expressed hope for the project to be implemented swiftly and on time so it can benefit the local people.
