KUCHING: A total of 500 food aid packs have been delivered to the Batu Kitang Service Centre to assist the needy.

Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang expressed happiness and gratitude in receiving the food aid for distribution to needy families in his constituency.

The food aid was sponsored by 38 Food Street through the Association of Hawkers and Traders of Kuching Samarahan Divisions.

“I feel very proud and happy to see the association organise this food aid donation which will help ease the burden of families who are in need of food supplies.

“Today, my service centre received a total of 300 food aid packs and the Batu Kitang Parti Persaka Bumi Bersatu (PBB) Women Branch, represented by Kampung Haji Baki community leader Sabtuyah Yusuf, received 200 packs,” said Lo after the presentation of the food aid yesterday (Oct 17).

“I will use this donation very well and will equally distribute it to families facing hardship especially those in the Batu Kitang area.
