KUCHING: Local community leaders and factory workers at Phase 9 of the Desa Senadin industrial area are grateful for Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin’s assistance in resolving the road issue there and ensuring the safety of road users.
Lee, who is also Senadin assemblyman, made a site visit to the tar-sealing of the road at Phase 9 of the Desa Senadin industrial area today.
Several appeals were raised previously by the community leaders and factory workers to him to resurface the road that was damaged by heavy vehicles using it daily.
This had resulted in big potholes and undulating road surface as well as flash floods in the area.
The completed project, costing RM150,000, was under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) 2020 for the Senadin constituency and carried out by Miri City Council (MCC).
The project consists of the asphalt premix paving operation which commenced on Nov 9 last year and was completed recently.
