BINTANGOR: The increase in Sarawak’s income was attributed to the leadership of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government.
In stressing this, Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing said GPS, led by Premier Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg have maintained the political stability in Sarawak.
This he said, must be continued through the support of the people towards the coalition and Sarawak government.
“While the political scenario in the Peninsula involves a unity government that includes the GPS, the situation will differ during the upcoming state election.
“Only the Sarawak government, under GPS leadership, can ensure political stability in Sarawak,” he said in his speech during a pre Gawai visit to a longhouse in the Meradong constituency recently.
Ding said the Sarawak government and the Premier has continued to prioritise development, ensuring the needs of the people are met by allocating funds through the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), special grants and Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR).
During the programme, Ding presented grants to six longhouses for the Gawai celebration. He also presented grants to another six longhouses in a separate visit.
