BINTULU: Newly elected Jepak assemblyman, Iskandar Turkee, committed to delivering exceptional service following his victory in the recent Jepak by-election on November 4.
Acknowledging the challenges ahead, Iskandar emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts.
“The task is difficult without the cooperation of all parties, especially the residents of Jepak.
“I would like to thank the Jepak voters and my friends at PBB for their support in the recent by-election. I accept this role with full trust and responsibility, and I will perform my duties to the best of my ability,” he said this during the PBB Tanjong Batu Branch Dinner held at a hotel recently.
Reflecting on his unexpected political journey, Iskandar, the former Director of the Sarawak National Anti-Drug Agency (SNADA), shared his surprise at being entrusted with this responsibility.
“Everything, including this election, was unexpected. What I have achieved is part of God’s plan,” he added.
He also urged certain groups to cease political maneuvering, inviting them instead to collaborate and focus on driving improvements in the Jepak constituency.
