KUCHING: The Member of Parliament for Bandar Kuching Dr Kelvin Yii along with Lanang MP Alice Lau, Padungan assemblyman Wong King Wei and Pending assemblywoman Violet Yong recently paid a courtesy call on MACC chief commissioner Latheefa Koya at the latter’s office in Putrajaya.

Dr Yii revealed that they had a positive and fruitful discussion on the different anti-corruption measures taken by the current government in order to restore the people’s confidence towards the institution as well as to promote greater transparency and accountability in the country.

“We also discussed about several pertinent issues especially with regards to Sarawak and how we can work together to promote different anti-corruption measures in Sarawak.

“We hold on to the principle that even with all the different allocations and developments that have been planned whether in Sarawak or other places, it is important that anti-corruption measures are in place so that it will not be abused to enrich any quarter at the expense of the people,” added Dr Yii.
