KUCHING: Miri folk who were assigned to have their Covid-19 vaccination in Niah or any other states in Peninsular Malaysia are requested to change the location of their vaccination centre (PPV) to Miri, said the Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC).
Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin, who is also the minister-in-charge of Miri DDMC, said he received several complaints from the residents pertaining to the issue.
“I received complaints from members of the public who lives in Miri but have their immunisation appointments in Sepupok Niah and other states in Peninsular Malaysia.
“After consulting with Miri DDMC, we will compile information of those affected and aid in the problem’s resolution,” Lee said.
Application to change the location of the Covid-19 PPV for Miri residents can be made through the Mysejahtera app or by contacting Ops Room Vaksin Bahagian Miri (through Whatsapp) at 011-59284348 or 011-59424290.
Meanwhile, residents aged 60 and above (for Miri district only) who have yet to register or received appointment notifications are advised to contact Miri DDMC immediately.
