SONG: The people in Ulu Katibas here are already enjoying Wifi internet coverage.
Katibas assemblyman Lidam Assan shared on his social media page on Friday (Feb 25), that the rural villagers were relieved and very happy with such development in their area.
Lidam said it was one of his promises to see the rural areas get adequate internet facility.
He pointed out that internet coverage nowadays was a very important requirement for communication purposes.
“Internet coverage is a necessity for the rural community and not only needed in the city. We are better to communicate when there is internet connectivity.
“Our city-dwelling children will be able to contact their parents with ease. We can now converse like a four-way meeting with video calls, rather than just conversing on the phone,” he said.
In this regard, Lidam appealed to residents in some areas in his constituency which have not been provided with the facilities to be patient.
“I know your needs. Stay calm because such development cannot be implemented all at once. It requires a gradual implementation process,” he said.
