MIRI: Residents voiced various issues during the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Senadin Service Centre’s ‘Mobile Service 2U’ walkabout on Monday.
The programme, led by Councillors Jeffery Phang and Toh Kah Shiong on behalf of Senadin assemblyman Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, included a meet-the-people session at Shanghai Kafe in Desa Senadin.
The weekly ‘Mobile Service 2U’ initiative brought together councillors, community leaders, youth, and women leaders from SUPP Senadin.
The team engaged with the public and stall owners, collecting feedback on various issues affecting the community.
Residents discussed concerns in their residential areas with the councillors, who pledged to address these with the Miri City Council.
Among the issues raised were the faded road lines in Senadin and the need for lighting at parks and basketball courts to allow for nighttime use.
“This mobile service is crucial as it forms part of our community services. It serves as an excellent platform for gathering feedback on the services provided by local authorities and government agencies,” said Phang.
“Our presence here ensures that any issues raised can be promptly addressed,” he added.
