SIBU: Five hundred packs of ‘bubur lambuk’ (savoury porridge) were distributed to local residents in Kemuyang near here on Saturday evening.
The programme, held in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, was organized by the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Desa Kemuyang in cooperation with Surau Darul Ukhuwah.
Present to distribute the porridge was Sibu Division Unity Officer Siti Nur Fatimah Hussen.
Speaking to reporters at the distribution scene, Siti pointed out the programme was a tradition that should be maintained to further strengthen brotherhood among the Muslims.
