JULAU: The residents in the area of Rumah Eddy Jemat, Nanga Sematu, Sungai Merurun are advised by the Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) to be cautious following a landslide that occurred around the vicinity.

According to a report, the incident occurred in early yesterday (Dec 21) morning where a local resident reported it at 9.15 am which prompted the mobilisation of a team to the area.

“Upon reaching the scene, the team initiated a size-up and gathered information from the public.

“The landslide had taken place in front of Eddy Jemat’s longhouse, prompting the immediate installation of APM warning tape to caution residents about the potential danger.” it said.

The incident was first noticed by local residents at around 5 am with no casualties reported.

After securing and ensuring the safety of the affected residents, the operation concluded at 10.25 am.
