SIBU: A retired soldier was found dead in his house at Pasai Siong Sibu last night (Jan 15).
Sibu police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said his men received a distress call from the public around 8.23pm regarding the incident.
A team from the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) was promptly deployed to the scene.
“The victim was found unconscious and covered in blood inside the toilet.
“Police found a shotgun near the body,” he said in a statement today (Jan 16).
The body was sent to the Sibu Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem.
Zulkipli classified the case as sudden death advised the public not to speculate on the incident.
