KUCHING: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) agrees that locations and premises exposed to positive Covid-19 cases are revealed to create greater public awareness.
“This initiative will help to increase awareness. Hence, this may lead to higher number of case detection due to members of the public coming forward to get tested after learning that they have visited the affected location,” said MPP chairman Lo Khere Chiang.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) recently released locations and premises which have been exposed to or visited by Covid-19 cases.
Lo advised operators of such premises to conduct thorough cleaning and sanitation of their place as precautionary measures.
He noted that the recent spike in positive Covid-19 cases was very alarming and hoped that the public would always exercise discipline and adhere to the SOP, in order to break the chain of infection and flatten the curve.
“Always remember to wear face mask, practise social distancing and wash hands with sanitisers or soap.
“Seek immediate medical treatment if you are symptomatic. We are all frontliners, protect ourselves, families and communities at large,” Lo added.
