MIRI: Under the revised standard operating procedures (SOPs) for conditional movement control order (CMCO) issued by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) updated on May 10, no dine-in is allowed for all types of food and beverage premises with effect from May 12 (Wednesday) until further notice.
Miri City Council (MCC) in a statement on Tuesday (May 11) said operators of such businesses could only do take-aways, deliveries or drive-throughs.
Other premises not allowed to operate include massage centres, spa and reflexology centres, karaoke centres including family-type karaoke, gymnasiums, premises for carrying out yoga, zumba and any similar physical exercises.
Sports and recreational activities at public parks and playgrounds such as at Miri City Fan as well as along the beaches of Miri and Subis districts are not permitted.
MCC’s enforcement teams would continue to be deployed to monitor CMCO SOPs compliance.
The nationwide MCO, from May 12 until June 7, announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, also banned dine-ins in all food and drinks premises.
