KUCHING: Richard Bada is aiming to secure gold in all three of his events at the upcoming Para (SUKMA) Malaysia Games at the end of the month.

Richard will compete in three throwing events for F41 (short stature) athletes: shot put, javelin, and discus.
“I am targeting gold in all three events,” he said.

He then said that his training has been “sufficient” but will become more intense as the Games approach, stating that his current performance level is well above 50 percent.

Hailing from Serian, Richard has been dedicated to the sport for the past 10 years, having started in 2016.
The 31-year-old Iban is looking forward to the upcoming Games.

When asked about future participation beyond Para SUKMA, Richard expressed openness to more opportunities.

“Currently, I’ll have to see. However, if an opportunity arises, I would definitely take it,” he said.
