KOTA SAMARAHAN: A local motorcyclist died from severe head injuries following a head-on collision with a car along Jalan Liu Shan Bang on Thursday.
Kota Samarahan police chief DSP Jaimi Husin, when contacted, confirmed that the accident happened at around 8 am, involving a motorcycle and a car driven by a 32-year-old man.
“Preliminary investigations found that the motorcycle ridden by the 23-year-old victim entered the oncoming car’s lane, which resulted in a collision.
“As a result, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics due to severe head injuries. Meanwhile, the driver escaped unharmed in the collision,” he said.
The victim’s body was transported to the hospital for post-mortem procedures.
Jaimi added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
He also reminded members of the public to always prioritise safety and adhere to traffic rules while on the road.
