KUCHING: A local man was killed in a motorcycle accident at the Datuk Patinggi Abang Abdillah Muhammad Kasim roundabout early this morning (Oct 6).
Kuching police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said the victim, riding a Yamaha Y15ZR, lost control while approaching the roundabout from Jalan Tun Salahuddin around 3.40 am.
“Unfortunately, the victim, believed to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH),” said Mohd Farhan in a statement.
The victim’s body was subsequently taken to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
