PADAWAN: An allocation of RM1 million has been approved for a project to beautify the vicinity of Annah Rais River.
Deputy Minister of Transport (Aviation and Road) Datuk Dr Jerip Susil said this is an effort to preserve the natural beauty and sustainability of the river.
“The project will be implemented under the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) Project Implementation, which is among the initiatives planned for implementation in the Mambong constituency.
He said this when speaking at the Kampung Annah Rais Women Bureau first anniversary celebration recently.
At the same time, Dr Jerip also approved an allocation of RM30,000 to the village’s Women Bureau.
The allocation will be for organising any upcoming activities in Annah Rais longhouse area.
