Masing, who is also Baleh assemblyman, said the construction of such a road in the village area was important as it was part of developing the rural areas.

“I assure you that the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)-led state government will continue to do better for the villages and bring more development to the rural areas,” he stressed.

The Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president said his ministry would pursue more development.

“GPS will not break its promises nor will it do U-turn like the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government. What we promise, we do.

“And the Works Minister Baru Bian should and must assist Selangau residents in improving their village roads. After all the people of Selangau are his power base,” Masing pointed out.

He also told the people that they must appreciate the contributions of the GPS people’s representatives and support them.

Also present at the earth-breaking ceremony was Tamin assemblyman Christopher Gira.
